Zero Emissions Network Grant

Businesses in Westminster are encouraged to apply for a grant of up to £2,500 towards the purchase of a cargo bike as part of the Zero Emissions Network (ZEN)

ZEN is a multi-borough, award-winning initiative that helps people save money, reduce emissions and improve local air quality, and is campaigning for more businesses to switch to cargo bikes.

There are many benefits to cargo bikes. They offer an affordable, safe, clean and efficient alternative to vans and other light goods vehicles, and reduce the number of hours stuck in traffic or looking for parking. They also help to encourage a healthier work force and happier customers!

Cllr Paul Dimoldenberg, Cabinet Member for City Management and Air Quality at Westminster City Council, said “Cargo bikes represent a fantastic step forward in sustainable transport, offering a cost-effective, environmentally friendly alternative to motor vehicles. Cargo bikes allow riders to use Westminster’s cycle lanes, saving time and reducing costs associated with fuelling, parking, and maintenance. This initiative will not only help reduce our city’s carbon footprint but also improve air quality and contribute to a healthier environment for everyone.”

Businesses need to register interest via this form before Wednesday 28 August. You can find out more about Westminster City Council and the Zero Emissions Network here
