The Wallace Collection Named World’s Best Hidden Gem!

Situated in a quiet corner of the Quarter in Manchester Square, local museum and BakerStreetQ member, The Wallace Collection, has recently been named the world’s finest hidden gem in a listing featured in Time Out!

The Wallace Collection includes masterpieces of painting, sculpture, furniture, arms and armour, and porcelain, housed inside a beautiful 18th Century mansion and previous home of the Seymour family, Marquesses of Hertford. The art collections were brought together by the first four marquesses and Sir Richard Wallace and was bequeathed to the British nation by Lady Wallace, Sir Richard’s widow, in 1897.

In addition to its series of exhibitions and displays, The Wallace Collection also hosts a programme of talks, tours and workshops throughout the year – providing the perfect excuse to take time out from your workday! Find out more about their forthcoming events here.
