Targeted Security Trial

Last month saw the start of our trial of additional security measures in the area, introducing a manned, overtly branded, CCTV electric surveillance vehicle in an attempt to combat theft, anti-social behaviour and other crime.

The initiative comes off the back of increased concern and incidents on the stretch of Baker Street north of York Street (west side). Even though we remain a relatively low crime area, there has been a general rise in crime across London and, in consultation with the Police and Council, this trial has been put in place to see how we can help combat and deter crime and anti-social behaviour, with results and any evidence shared with relevant authorities.

The trial will initially run over three random days in a week over a 4-week period. The vehicle will be manned by operatives who will also engage with businesses to increase awareness and help them in implementing preventive measures.

If you have any questions or feedback on this initiative, please do get in touch with us here. You can find out more about our Area Management and Security and Resilience initiatives here.
