Tackling Crime

We continue to work in close partnership with the Safer Business Network, the Metropolitan Police, and local businesses to reduce crime in the area and create a safer environment for all. Recent outcomes include:

  • A prolific shoplifting and robbery offender was identified and arrested. Through coordinated work with the Police, Safer Business Network engaged businesses to gather CAD numbers (numbers generated when reports are made to the Police), enabling the Police to arrest the offender, who is now being held on remand.
  • Exclusion notices were issued to repeat offenders. Two individuals known for aggressive shoplifting were served with exclusion notices, preventing them from entering local businesses.
  • A wanted offender was located. Thanks to reports from local businesses and support from our Street Team, a wanted offender was identified and circulated, aiding police efforts.
  • £3,000 worth of goods recovered. Security teams and staff successfully recovered £3,000 in attempted stolen goods, helping to prevent further financial losses for businesses.

These results reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting local businesses and the community, ensuring that our area remains a safer place to work, live, and visit. Visit our Area Management pages to find out more
