Summer in the Square – Get Ready for Double the Fun In 2024!

Head along to Portman Square Garden on 9-14 July for the first half of our Summer in the Square festivities! Our annual award-winning event is back this year with Wimbledon on the big screen, our Guest Kitchen, food and drink stalls, family fun and health and wellness activities. It then returns for the second half on 7-11 August for ‘Games in the Garden’ tying in with the Paris Olympics!  

Following its success in 2023, this year’s Guest Kitchen is back with a selection of the area’s best eateries popping up on rotation, giving visitors a chance to experience a taste of Marylebone. This year’s line-up is still under wraps but prepare yourself for some mouthwatering options.  

Our drinks partner Home House will be ensuring that visitors are well-hydrated! And, there will also be the usual variety of street-food stalls providing something to suit all tastebuds.  

Our Wellness Den programme will be offering sustainable wellbeing activities with a range of workshops for the mind and body. From yoga and mindfulness to wine tastings and Japanese mending workshops, there will be something for everyone.  

There will also be family-fun sessions alongside some sporty activities organised by our Charity Of The Year, Young Westminster Foundation, which supports youth clubs, charities and specialist organisations offering life-changing programmes for young people across Westminster. All funds raised through the event will be going towards their incredible work. 

And of course, there will be plenty of seating (including under cover!), lounge seating and a big screen for those who want to watch all the sporting action, or who simply want to relax and enjoy some downtime and socialising.

We’re excited this year to be partnering with Westminster City Council’s Inside Out festival for our Games in the Garden event. The festival brings the city’s world-renowned arts, entertainment and culture into the streets and open spaces of Westminster for all to enjoy, with live performances, cultural walking tours, outdoor exhibitions, family workshops, sculpture trails, installations and pop-up activities in accessible outdoor locations.
