Street Team Q&A
11 August 2025
Earlier this month, we sat down with Ahmed and Swastik from our Street Team to learn more about the people behind the high-vis. From coding and harmoniums to valuable life lessons and dream travel destinations, here’s what they had to share.
Ahmed
What are you most passionate about outside of work?
Watching Football, Chelsea in particular
What’s a valuable lesson you’ve learned from this role?
Communication and how people perceive you, not everyone is the same it’s how you approach people that really changes how they will interact with you. Everyone can have a bad day and it’s important to be aware of that.
Do you have any hidden talents or unique hobbies?
Coding, mainly Python. I’m currently doing it for my university course in computer science.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Rio De Janeiro to experience the carnival. Or anywhere in the USA, I grew up watching American movies and I’d like to see how it compares to reality.
Swastik
Do you have any hidden talents or unique hobbies?
Music, I love it, I play the harmonium and sing. Most of my family and friends sing, we are well known for it in Gujarat.
Another thing people might not know is I am a mechanical engineer.
What recent accomplishment at work has you feeling most energised?
Appreciation and recognition from Lodge about the work I do. They let us know when we’re doing things well and tell you how to improve if things aren’t working.
What’s a lesson you’ve learned from a colleague?
Working in the UK was a big cultural shift as there are a lot more rules and regulations. My colleagues have taught me how to be more professional and handle work situations properly.
What’s your favourite food?
Proper masala okra or masala aubergine, the way my wife makes it.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Jammu and Kashmir, I’d love to climb the mountains there and there’s so many activities to do.
