Some impressive facts from our Smarter Recycling partners, First Mile, for the months May-July:

• 100% collection rates for member businesses – every scheduled collection was completed
• 71% average recycling rate – with many businesses now aligned with the new Simpler Recycling legislation, including food waste recycling
• £248 average savings through scheme discounted rates over the three month period
• Seven more businesses joined in the last month, further reducing bin lorry traffic across the area

Smarter Recycling is a convenient and dedicated waste collection and recycling scheme for businesses across Baker Street Quarter. Through our partners, First Mile and Recorra, it helps you reduce waste management costs while supporting your environmental goals, with provision to collect over 30 waste streams. By working together with other local businesses to use a shared collection service, we also reduce traffic and improve air quality in the area.
