Shoplifter Conviction

We recognise that safety is a key priority for our members, and we want everyone working in, visiting, or spending time in Marylebone to feel safe and supported. 

To help maintain Marylebone as one of the lower-crime areas in central London, our Street Team works closely with the Police, Westminster City Council, and local partners to support enforcement activity through intelligence gathering and evidence sharing. 

In March, this partnership approach contributed to the arrest of a repeat offender linked to a number of thefts across central London, including an incident on Baker Street. Following a court appearance, the individual received a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order, including an exclusion from all streets within W1. 

This outcome builds on similar partnership work last year and reflects the strength of coordinated working across the area, bringing together businesses, the Police, and partners such as the Safer Business Network to address issues proactively. 

Our Street Team continues to provide daily patrols and acts as a visible, reassuring presence while also supporting behind-the-scenes intelligence work that helps inform Police resourcing and action. 

By working together, we are able to respond to issues effectively while maintaining Marylebone as a safe, welcoming, and well cared for area for everyone.
