Oxford Street Consultation Open Now

Westminster City Council has launched its latest vision for Oxford Street with consultation now underway. As well as Oxford Street itself, including the western end and surrounding side streets, the proposals also include specific plans for nearby East Marylebone and West Fitzrovia. Plans include changing traffic flow in sections of Wigmore Street, Mortimer Street, Henrietta Place and Margaret Street, as well as widening pavements, adding greenery and respite spaces, improving crossings and upgrading street lighting.

BakerStreetQ will be putting together a response to the proposals on behalf of local businesses. If you have views that you would like to see represented, please do get in touch. We also encourage you to take part in the consultation which is open until 31 August. As well as online questionnaires, there will also be the following drop-in consultation events taking place at The Salvation Army (Regent Hall), 275 Oxford Street, W1C 2DJ on:

Wednesday 2nd August – drop in 9am-5pm (presentations at 10am, 1pm and 4pm)

Wednesday 9th August July – drop in 9am-5pm (presentations at 10am, 1pm and 4pm)
