Christmas Lights

Our Christmas light displays are back for another season, brightening up every corner of the Quarter! Starting from Thursday 6 November, Portman Square and Manchester Square will sparkle with fairy lights in the magnificent trees. Our giant glittering bauble returns to Portman Square and our illuminated geese take flight at the junction of Baker Street and Marylebone Road, inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s only Sherlock Holmes Christmas story, ‘The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle’.

The lamppost columns along Baker Street, Harewood Avenue and Melcombe Street will be decorated with designs inspired by local architecture, while the installation of twinkling lights will adorn the entrances to Marylebone Station and The Landmark London.

As in previous years, the festive lights are environmentally friendly, designed with energy efficient LEDs.

If the lights are getting you in the festive spirit, keep an eye out for Christmas content on our Make It Marylebone site and Instagram for details of forthcoming festive craft workshops and local events as well as Christmas menus at local eateries and gift shopping guides, coming soon.
