Anti-Trafficking Training

Our neighbours Marble Arch BID in partnership with London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch and London Marriott Hotel Park Lane are hosting an event aimed at the hotel sector to mark the UN World Day Against Trafficking in Persons campaign.

The event is taking place on Monday 31 July from 14.00 – 16.30, and aims to raise awareness of the experiences and action taken to prevent and protect vulnerable people who are at risk of trafficking. Specialists in the field within the Met Police will deliver tailored presentations followed by a Q&A panel and further information about training that is available to hotels and their staff.

Human trafficking is a serious crime and poses a significant risk to those being used in the trade. Every year, thousands of vulnerable men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers. Victims often face re-victimisation through traumatic post rescue experiences and legal proceedings, as well as the emotional trauma suffered through trying to repatriate back to their countries and families and integration into everyday life.

Find out more and book a place on the training session here.
