Central London Samaritans- ‘Taking time to Talk’ – supporting emotional wellbeing

November 5 @ 13:00 - 14:00

This is a 1 hour online session run by ‘Central London Samaritans’.

November is Men’s Mental Health awareness month. Men experience disproportionately high-rates of suicide, with death by suicide being the biggest killer of men under the age of 50 in the UK. This session will explore the importance of talking and listening for our mental wellbeing and emotional health.

Life is particularly difficult – whether at work or home. It can feel as though things that we can normally cope with quite easily have become much more difficult. Significant changes have affected the way we live and the way we work – which in turn have all had an impact on our moods, our actions and our physical and emotional well-being. Now we are coming into the winter months with darker days and nights which can have even more of an impact on our wellbeing.

Taking time to talk explores:

– why talking can be so difficult, especially in the workplace, and why being listened to is so important for our mental being and emotional health.

– It looks at what makes a difference and considers how we can all help each other by recognising signs of stress and having open conversations.

This session is exclusive to Baker Street Quarter Partnership member businesses. To check if your business is a member and sign up, please email [email protected].
