Charity of the Year 2026/7
30 March 2026
We’re proud to announce The Passage as our Charity of the Year for 2026/27. The Passage works to prevent and end homelessness, providing practical support and tailored services to help people move away from the streets and into stable accommodation and support networks.
We have been working with The Passage since 2021, with the shared aim of ensuring that people who are vulnerable and living on the streets are able to access the right support and longterm solutions. Their team works closely with our Street Team, building trusted relationships with individuals in the area and bringing together services and agencies to help people get the tailored support they need.
Over the coming year, we’ll be supporting The Passage through dedicated fundraising and awarenessraising activities, helping to champion their lifechanging work across Westminster.
As our Charity of the Year for last year, Central London Samaritans has been a key focus of our Smarter Giving programme. With the help of our local business community, together we achieved the following:
- Showcased a Marylebone on Display exhibition at Marylebone Station, celebrating the charity’s story and impact
- Supported Sing for Samaritans to perform at local events
- Organised volunteers for Mental Health Awareness Week collections
- Secured free venues for their key events including Pride Brunch, Volunteer Summer Party and their AGM,
- Facilitated refurbished laptop donations from First Mile
- Fundraised for them throughout the year. £4100 was raised through events and activities organised or supported by BakerStreetQ, plus, £2795 through the Christmas charity raffle.
Although their time as Charity of the Year is coming to an end, our relationship continues. We look forward to creating more opportunities for you to partner with Central London Samaritans and champion their work.
