Our friends at University of Westminster are keen to engage with the businesses of Baker Street Quarter, inviting you to get involved in a number of events and projects coming up over the next few months.
With its large campus building on Marylebone Road opposite Madame Tussauds, the University plays a key role in the local community. It is also officially the most diverse university in the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand (Hotcourses Diversity Index) with 58% of UK undergraduate students being the first in their family to go to university and 67% from Black Minority Ethnic backgrounds.
Sponsorship Opportunity
The University’s School of Architecture + Cities is inviting businesses to sponsor its first-year architecture students’ end of year exhibition, showcasing a year of outstanding work and creativity.

Westminster Working Cultures
The Wallace Collection recently hosted a group of University of Westminster students as part of the Westminster Working Cultures (WWC) programme – a University-wide initiative designed to enhance the employability of students.
The visit to the Wallace Collection consisted of a panel discussion on career journeys, key learnings, and advice for students as they navigate the world of work after graduation, followed by a tour of the museum.

Executive Summer School
The University’s Westminster Business School is inviting local businesses to join its annual summer school for an empowering experience designed to boost skills and career prospects. Attendees can choose from four specialised courses on marketing, leadership, project management and business intelligence, each taught by experienced academics and practitioners.
Project Management Day
The University is inviting businesses to join its forthcoming Westminster Business School Project Management Day “Building the Bridge” 2024.
Taking place on Tuesday 25 June, the day event will include engaging discussions, networking opportunities, and a chance to bridge the gap between academic insights and real-world project management practices.

Patronage Announcement
And finally, this month the University announced that His Royal Highness King Charles III will become the University’s Royal Patron, continuing a long history of royal connections and following on from Queen Elizabeth II’s patronage from 1993 until her death in September 2022.
