Internal Comms Survey

We recently carried out a brief survey with our contacts in internal communications and HR at the Quarter’s businesses to find out how they communicate with their colleagues and how best to disseminate information from us about our forthcoming events and activities. In the past, we have sent out email updates targeted at this audience for them to forward on and were keen to understand if this method still works for the group and their preferred format going forward, particularly given the changes to office practices post-Covid and the increase in hybrid working.
The responses showed that email is still very much the favoured communication method amongst teams in the area, with a small number also using services such as Slack, Yammer and Microsoft Teams. We were pleased to also receive many positive responses and helpful feedback on our existing communications:

We have a wealth of ongoing professional training sessions, wellbeing workshops, social and networking events as well as our Smarter Giving charity volunteering and donation opportunities – all free to access by staff of our member businesses. We want to make sure that employees in the area know all about what’s coming up so that they can make the most of being part of the Quarter’s community.
