Grot Spot Cleaning

As part of our commitment to maintaining the cleanliness of the area, our programme of targeted grot spot cleans have been taking place on local streets. Over the last few months, we have jet washed grime from the pavements in Allsop Place, Dorset Square, Glentworth Street, Upper Berkeley Street, Harewood Avenue, Gloucester Place and outside of The Landmark Hotel.

Our cleaning resource was set out in our business plan for 2023-2028, with the service provided in addition to baseline cleaning services provided by the Council and aims to target those areas that need just that extra bit of TLC!

In other news, after a long time of lobbying the Council and BT, we have finally seen the removal of some unsightly old BT phone boxes Manchester Square, Lisson Grove and Paddington Street Garden, with pavements being restored to their former glory! The phone boxes no longer functioned and had become an eyesore on the streets.

If you’ve noticed a street or area that could do with a scrub or a tidy-up, let us know by getting in touch here. In addition to the grot-spot cleans, our Street Team monitor the street environment, reporting and following-up on matters such as potholes, broken street lighting, litter and fly tipping. The reporting system used by the team links to our baseline agreement with Westminster City Council and maps the area’s hotspots to ensure we target our actions effectively.
