Exploring ways to help businesses recycle more…
The Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP), has launched a survey to explore ways to help businesses and organisations to recycle more.
The UK has committed to recycling 65% of municipal waste by 2035. To realise this target, steps need to be taken to increase recycling from both households and businesses that generate household-like waste, including hospitality, retail, grocery, and office sectors. WRAP has been exploring business support options to alleviate the potential burden of recycling to these organisations and to inform this work, has developed a survey, which can be found here.
The survey should take around five minutes to complete. The results will help WRAP gain valuable insight into the types of support and incentives businesses and organisations believe would be most effective in increasing their recycling.
Visit the WRAP website to find out more about their work or alternatively, contact Penny Huckle or Sam Samuels at [email protected] for any questions about the survey. The deadline to complete the survey is Wednesday 16 November.
And, just to add a little reminder that our Smarter Recycling service provides waste and recycling collections in the area, with a majority of members signed up along with many non-member businesses. The scheme helps businesses cut costs and meet their green goals by minimising waste and increasing recycling rates and since its launch has reduced waste collection trips, and consequently traffic emissions, in the area by 58%.
