Baker Street And Gloucester Place Are Now Two Way!
20 February 2019
This morning was, for many of us, the first time that we’ve experienced two-way roads on Baker Street and Gloucester Place. Through the many, many communications about the project, you will have been somewhat prepared for the changes, but please remember that the hundreds of visitors that pass through out Quarter each day, may not be. Plus, of course, old habits die hard, so please think about your safety while you get used to the new two-way roads.
But remember, while this is a huge milestone, the project will not complete until early summer. Over the next six weeks, you will see what appears to be a secession of works as the Two Way Project team takes a step back to allow the new system to bed down. And as everyone gets used to the new two-way roads, the team will be taking care of any snagging issues. Once the islands are installed and the roads finally resurfaced, the projects team will be monitoring progress on an ongoing basis.
Please share this poster in your workplace to help keep the two-way traffic and safety in front of mind.
