Twelve Days Of Christmas With A Twist…
14 December 2020
There have been many variations on the well-known carol ‘The Twelve days of Christmas’, but none quite like this!
Students from the University of Westminster have been working hard to create a unique festive window, made in the Fabrication Lab Robot Cell on Marylebone Road. Local school children were invited to submit their creative ideas based on the gifts described in the traditional carol, The Twelve Days Of Christmas. These ideas were then turned into festive animations, which are created into a live movie by the University’s robot! The window is available for all to view on the University building along Marylebone Road. You can also view each installation online.
Prizes will be awarded on Christmas Eve for the best entries and you’re invited to join the guest judges and choose your favourite for the ‘People’s Prize’. Visit the University’s web page to vote for your favourite three creations. The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve.
The Festive Window is produced by the Fabrication Lab with the School of Architecture + Cities from the University of Westminster, and generously supported by The Portman Estate and the Baker Street Quarter Partnership.
This is another wonderful highlight to enjoy on a socially distanced walk around the Quarter after you’ve taken in our Christmas lights.
