The Wallace Collection Reopens

We’re delighted that the Quarter’s cultural gem, the Wallace Collection, reopens its doors this week on Thursday 3 June with a free Rubens exhibition. The exhibition reunites two great masterpieces of landscape painting: The Rainbow Landscape (pictured) and A View of Het Steen in the Early Morning, lent from the National Gallery. Tickets are free but must be booked ahead of time, so if you’re planning your week ahead why not arrange a leisurely lunch break trip to the gallery?

This beautiful gallery has been closed for over a year, but thanks to the dedication of staff and the museum’s supporters the closure has been a time of transformation for the museum. The Wallace Collection has carried out a major programme of renovation, redecoration and relighting; from newly sparkling chandeliers to refreshed paintwork, there’s never been a better time to visit. Read more about the recent works here.

In more exciting news for the Collection, visitors will soon be able to explore the gallery at home as well as in person via the free Bloomberg Connects App. Available for download from the Apple App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android, content from the Wallace Collection will include exclusive audio commentaries, thematic gallery trails, videos and much more. The Bloomberg Connects digital guide will launch on 17 June.
