The BakerStreetQ Team Try Out Local Restaurant Offers

The team at BakerStreetQ have visited some of the restaurants featured in our Summer in the City campaign to sample the delicious food and drink.

Kitchen at Holmes Taste of Summer menu is a feast for the eyes and the tastebuds, our team members enjoyed the special offer of two dishes and a cocktail for £27 on the lovely outdoor Chandon Garden Spritz terrace.

The menu has many delicious international and Mediterranean-influenced dishes to choose from, including smoked burrata salad, grilled lamb kofta, Jerusalem with tahini and tomatoes, and chickpea fritters.

The meal was complemented with the summery ‘Spritz at Holmes Cocktail’, specially created by the head bartender. It was a refreshing mix of elderflower, white vermouth, Chandon sparkling, with soda and served with zesty orange peel.

The team also headed to Roti Chai, the stylish modern Indian soul food restaurant on Portman Mews South near Selfridges. We enjoyed the special £35 Butter Chicken and Bellini three-course menu which was a tasty treat for our team outing.

On arrival we were given a choice of strawberry or lychee rose bellini, and for our starters we enjoyed a trio of starters including lamb roti rolls and Dahi Puri with semolina shells, potato and sweet yoghurt. The Butter Chicken dish was tender with tandoor-smoked flavour and a tomato, fenugreek and butter sauce, we shared the accompaniment of naan and rice. We finished with delicious desserts of mini doughnuts and mango kulfi ice cream, Ayurvedic peppermint tea and coffee. A Guava Virgin Mojito and vegetarian paneer cheese main is also available. We thoroughly recommend this amazing modern take on traditional Indian food!
