TfL releases revised forecast figures for Elizabeth Line

TfL has recently released its revised forecast figures for passengers using the new Elizabeth Line. Projections are now expected to be in the range of 130m and 170m per annum with the potential for much higher figures. It is expected that around 95% of Elizabeth Line passengers will switch from other routes, with the main transfers being from the Central and Jubilee lines.

The projections show that, while figures have been impacted by covid, it is expected that passenger numbers at West End stations will increase by 22.5m by 2026.

Here at BakerStreetQ, we are looking to capitalise on the new station to the south of our area at Bond Street when it opens later this year, improving the gateway to the Quarter and enhancing accessibility and signposting to entice footfall and support our retail and hospitality businesses. The station is expected to open in the autumn following delays during construction.
