Sustainability at Gail’s Bakery

Gail’s Bakery is well known for its high-quality bread and delicious pastries and cakes. Their store on Baker Street is open all day for a wonderful selection of breakfast and brunch items and lunch treats.

From its very first bakery in Hampstead to its many stores across the south of England, it has always sourced the finest ingredients and used traditional techniques with all items baked by hand.

Gail’s is committed to sustainable practices, using sustainable packaging or recyclable or compostable material, and surplus food is given to local charities, including the Felix Project which connects food suppliers with those in need. They choose their partners with care as well, using local suppliers where possible, for example Buchanan’s Cheesemongers near their Seymour Place bakery. Coffee and tea is sourced from ethical companies, and milk, eggs and meat are from small British suppliers who share their values.
