We understand from a number of businesses that recruiting new employees to some roles is currently challenging, and we are here to help you. By connecting your business with relevant local employment services in the borough, you can reach a new pool of local candidates.
The services include Westminster Employment Service (WES), for local residents and businesses which aims to fill a wide range of vacancies and helps residents develop their confidence and skills, while linking them to job opportunities on their doorstep. We recently connected Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill with WES, and after they held a local a recruitment day at least 15 people were invited for a 2nd round interview at the time of writing.
Other services we’ve been working with include Pursuing Independent Paths (PIP) and the University of Westminster. PIP supports adults with learning disabilities and autism to achieve their potential and move towards independence, while The University of Westminster has many tools and services to help link local businesses to its talented pool of students and graduates. We can put you in touch with the University’s Careers & Employability Service, which works to find work experience and placement opportunities, careers advice, networking events and graduate jobs. The University also has a jobs board which businesses can post vacancies on, with a dedicated website aimed at graduating students.
