Support For Your Business

Part of BakerStreetQ’s role is to advocate for what businesses need. We are raising issues businesses are facing in the current context regularly with Cllr Matthew Green, Westminster Council’s Cabinet Member for Business and Planning, as well as with Government Ministers. Please do let us know if there are matters you would like us to address.

Westminster City Council has already distributed the first Government Business Support grants to smaller businesses (those receiving Small Business Rates Relief and smaller retail, hospitality and leisure businesses) and is working as fast as possible to disperse the remainder of grants over the next week, however, they tell us a significant amount of work remains to be undertaken. If your business is eligible, there is no need to contact them, they will seek to make payment as soon as they can.

The Council is also working to get amended business rates bills out to hospitality, leisure, retail and nursery businesses, which are eligible for the one year business rates holiday. Again, there is no need to contact the council. They will be issuing revised bills to reflect the payment holiday in due course.
