Renewal Ballot Is Now Open
24 October 2022
Here’s how to complete and return your ballot papers…
Our renewal ballot is now underway, inviting our business members to vote on the continuation and expansion of the Baker Street Quarter Partnership to implement our plans for 2023-2028. These plans were drawn up following in depth consultation with our business members as well as property owners, local residents, TfL and the City Council. The focus for our third term is on ensuring this special part of Marylebone is a progressive, compelling and connected place for your people, your business and for everyone.
Ballot papers were sent out by post by the Council on Friday 14 October to all businesses in the area that are eligible to vote – that’s those whose properties have a rateable value of £175,000 or more.
If you haven’t already voted, the below illustration shows what you need to look out for and how to return your completed paper. We have special arrangements in place due to the current postal strikes to ensure your ballot papers reach the Council by the 24 November deadline. The Council has placed two ballot boxes in the area – at 55 Baker Street and London Businesses School’s Sammy Ofer Centre, 117 Marylebone Road. We would be very grateful if you would consider taking your ballot papers there rather than risking them going missing in the post.
We have been so pleased by the strong support already indicated by the Marylebone business community – but it is really important that this translates into votes returned to the Council to secure a strong mandate for our continuation from April 2023.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries regarding the ballot or are concerned you have not received your ballot paper – [email protected]
