Putting Smiles On Faces Of Local Elderly Residents

Last month, as part of our Smarter Giving programme, a team of volunteers from members UST Global visited the Penfold Hub and Extra Care Service, part of Notting Hill Genesis Housing and based in Marylebone, to celebrate the UN International Day of Happiness 2022. With the aim of putting a smile on residents’ faces, the team gifted them beautiful potted roses and spent valuable time chatting over tea and cake. Denis Kane, Penfold Community Hub Project Manager thanked the volunteers and said, ‘It was a great afternoon, the first volunteers/resident engagement since before the outbreak of Covid, and a very good team who really spent quality time with the older people’.

The Smarter Giving programme works to match the needs of local charities and community groups with businesses in the area that are keen to engage with and support their local community, through volunteering opportunities, supporting education and employment initiatives and financial donations.
