Project Servator Training For Our Businesses
14 December 2020
The Quarter’s businesses took part in (socially distanced) training delivered as part of Project Servator last week. Project Servator is a partnership between the Police, businesses and the public to deter, detect and disrupt hostile reconnaissance (the collection of information by those planning hostile activity) by terrorists and other criminals, while providing a reassuring presence.
The training covered hostile mindset, hostile reconnaissance, business vigilance and joined up action. This was followed by an active deployment along Baker Street of fifteen uniformed and plain clothed police officers shadowed by our members. The deployment engaged with the public, monitored people’s behaviour and demonstrated the ‘power of hello’ to our businesses.
It was a great opportunity for our businesses to see the Police in action, create stronger partnerships and understand more about counter terrorism work. Find out more about Project Servator and our own Safe and Cared for programme, especially designed to increase the area’s resilience.
Throughout the year we offer further counter terrorism training including a planned area-wide table top exercise on the 4 February – book here.
