Power Outage Preparations
5 December 2022
Westminster City Council is encouraging all organisations to ensure that business continuity plans are reviewed and up to date, with particular focus on making sure that plans are in place should there be a loss of utility supply, including electricity. While the Council has not been made aware of any immediate risk to supply, it’s important for utility companies, statutory bodies and all other organisations to be prepared.
These resources can help:
– Check out this toolkit created by Westminster City Council in partnership with West End Security Group (WESG) to support with preparing for incidents and emergencies.

We have our next Table Top Exercise – our area-wide event that uses a simulated major incident scenario to test our members’ continuity plans – taking place on Tuesday 21 March 2023. These sessions are arranged as part of our Increasing Security & Resilience programme for the area which aims to prepare businesses to be able to react, respond to and recover from a major event or security incident should one occur. Look out for further information on how to sign up coming soon.
