North Paddington Food Bank Manager Recognised In New Year Honours List
10 January 2022
North Paddington Food Bank’s manager James Quayle was named in the New Year’s Honours List for services to Westminster, for his remarkable response following the arrival of Covid-19 and the ensuing lockdown restrictions in 2020.
Aided by a dedicated team of volunteers, North Paddington Food Bank jumped into action at the beginning of the covid crisis, supporting many in the local community including families, the elderly and vulnerable individuals with food and household parcels. A crucial part of the response was building connections with local businesses, including those based in the Quarter, many of whom offered resources and donations through our Smarter Giving initiative that facilitates partnerships and activities between local charities and our members.
Since November 2021, NPFB has changed its delivery model to focus on supporting their customers with financial assistance, ensuring that they can help those facing rising living and fuel costs and continued uncertainty. Read more about their activities here.
Services provided by NPFB are still very much in demand so if you or your business are interested in supporting NPFB or any other local charities and community organisations, please get in touch with our Smarter Giving Manager, Kate Heslegrave, to find out more.
