Member businesses step up to help homeless and vulnerable women
15 August 2022
As part of our Smarter Giving initiative, three of our member businesses have been showing their support for local charity The Marylebone Project. On Friday 29 July, Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill hosted a thank you event to celebrate all the volunteers that have offered their time recently. In addition to this, the team at Zetter Townhouse donated toiletries and sanitary wear and Elemis supplied some of their products to The Marylebone Project’s 24-hour drop-in centre for homeless women.
The Marylebone Project provides a life-changing service for homeless women and is the largest and longest-running centre of its kind in London and the UK with over 90 years of experience supporting vulnerable homeless women in crisis affected by issues including domestic abuse, trafficking and learning disabilities. They offer hostel accommodation and support services as well as running social enterprise, Made in Marylebone – offering a catering service and meeting room hire – that equips women with the skills and training needed to gain employment in the hospitality industry. More information about their work can be found on The Marylebone Project website.
