Meet The Authors at Durrants Hotel & Ticket Offer

Following the success of its first ever Guest Author Evening last November, Durrants Hotel has devised an exciting schedule of further such events for 2019. The first date to note is Tuesday 5 February (from 6.30pm) when Brides magazine’s editor, Jade Beer, will talk about her novels ‘The Almost Wife’ and ‘What I Didn’t Say’ – as well as providing expert insight into wedding planning.

And then on Thursday 14 March, Anne de Courcy will discuss her latest book ‘The Husband Hunters’; a fascinating history of the wealthy young American women who, around the end of the 19th century, married into the British aristocracy. On Thursday 11 April, husband-and-wife, Craig Brown and Frances Welch, will talk about their respective books, ‘Ma’am Darling: 99 Glimpses of Princess Margaret’ and ‘The Imperial Tea Party’. Lastly, for now… will be Rachel Trethewey on Tuesday 14 May, who will chat about, ‘Before Wallis’, which focuses on the three women in Edward’s life before he famously fell in love with Mrs Simpson.

At each event, attendees are invited to enjoy a glass of fizz and canapés before the featured guest author talk, followed by a book signing and sales session. Tickets for all events are on sale now at just £15pp. (book purchase not included).
