Marylebone Summer Staycation This Week In Portman Square Garden

If you’re looking for a leafy green sanctuary in London to experience that holiday vibe, look no further than our takeover of Portman Square Garden this week, on Wednesday 18, Thursday 19 and Saturday 21 August, 12.00 to 20.00, and free for all to attend. Relax in a deck chair with a drink in hand and watch the world go by or join in with games, crafting or play some giant chess!

Our street food stalls from Urban Food Fest will include Aroma Brazilian cuisine, Thai from One Pan Noodles, Mexican from Hellome and Asian Rice Bowls from Yummy Yummy London. The bar from Urban Food Fest will be there each day, and on Thursday and Saturday we’ll be joined by special guests Philglas and Swiggot from New Quebec Street, who’ll be serving up some of their finest wines and champagnes by the glass and bottle too. The experts from Philglas and Swiggot and Charles Heidsieck Champagne will be there to give you recommendations and tasting advice.

There will be summer holiday-themed crafting workshops appropriate for adults and children, and soothing music from Fiona Fey (19 August, 1-1.40pm) and Gareth Wilkins (21 August, 1-1.40pm). Chess in Schools and Communities, a charity based at Chess & Bridge on Baker Street, are bringing their giant chess set and we will have other fun games available for everyone to enjoy.

As with all our markets, Covid safety measures will be in place. Looking to book a spot for an office get-together? We can take bookings for up to 30 guests, so email [email protected] for reservations.

We look forward to seeing you there!
