Launching London Eats

The Mayor of London has launched the first phase of the Let’s Do London campaign, London Eats, celebrating the very best culinary delights central London has to offer. Some of London’s most famous chefs, along with restaurants and passionate London foodies, will share their hidden gems and must-try bars and restaurants, and we’re delighted to see several Quarter favourites featured.

Chef Angela Hartnett and food critic Jimi Famurewa picked out KOL as one of the first places they want to check out once it reopens on Tuesday 18 May, with Angela calling it “just brilliant Mexican cooking”. Fred Sirieix, who watchers of First Dates will recognise instantly, tipped Royal China Club on Baker Street as his Sunday lunch standby for their dim sum.

Let’s Do London is a year-long campaign to attract people back to central London in line with Covid-19 restrictions. For more top tips, find the interviews with more foodie figures on the Visit London website.
