Latest TfL Updates
2 August 2021
The latest news from Transport for London includes their new advert, and updates on planned District and Circle line closures.
You might have spotted TfL’s fantastic new advert, an ode to the theatre trips, gallery visits and after work drinks we’ve been missing over the last months! Watch it here. TfL has also recently updated its free, handy TfL Go travel app to provide real-time information on how busy London Underground stations are throughout the day. This will help travellers to choose quieter times for their journey and build confidence as more people return to public transport. The app is available on both iOS and Android phones.
For those who use the Circle and District lines, please note that from 4 to 12 August, there will be closures on both lines for essential track repairs to deliver better journeys and greater reliability. There will be no service between Edgware Road and Aldgate via Victoria on the Circle Line and from Earl’s Court to Aldgate East on the District line. During these planned closures, several stations including Embankment, Blackfriars and Cannon Street will have no Tube service, so do check your routes ahead of time, travel at quieter times or walk or cycle where possible. For the complete list of affected stations and impact on step-free stations, visit the Transport for London website.
Potential strike action on 3, 4, 5 and 6 August was called off on Monday 2 August.
