Green Light for TfL Funded “Wonderpass”

We are delighted to announce that the bleak and uninviting Marylebone Road subway is soon to be transformed with a dramatic makeover.

Our exciting new concept, affectionately dubbed the “Wonderpass”, will provide a bright and welcoming environment and will seek to encourage pedestrians to use it as a quick and entertaining alternative to crossing the busy main road.

Our grateful thanks to those of you who completed the recent TfL survey. Following our negotiations, the project has been approved by TfL, who has agreed to pledge significant funds to create the concept, with TfL Structures contributing further funds to rectify current structural issues and provide the ‘blank canvas’ for us to have some fun. The image above is one of many ideas so watch this space as we fine tune the designs. TfL has also agreed to fund overnight gates for the Subway, which will be fitted in the coming months, to help deter misuse and antisocial behaviour.
