Engines Off Campaign

To help improve air quality in the area, our Street Safety Team are on hand to politely remind drivers to turn their engines off when parked in their vehicles. This is in support of the #EnginesOff campaign, which urges drivers to stop idling their vehicles if parked for more than 60 seconds.

Air pollution is a major risk to health and contributes to more than 9,500 deaths in London every year. The Idling Action project aims to cut dangerous emissions and improve health outcomes.

Businesses can help end avoidable air pollution by ensuring employees that commute or drive professionally for the company do not idle their vehicles. Businesses can sign up and receive a free #EnginesOff toolkit by clicking here.
