Supporting Hearts To Homes

Responding to our Smarter Giving Manager’s call for volunteers, Knight Frank’s Emily Bowles, who is currently on furlough, volunteered to help From Hearts To Homes – a new project set up by St Paul’s Church and Newpin Drop-In Centre. The aim of the project is to reach out to those within the local Church Street Ward who are in food poverty and isolation during this period.

Emily is one of 20 volunteers who make weekly calls and do shopping for members of the From Hearts To Homes programme. As well as checking to make sure that all their shopping needs are met, importantly, she just chats in general with her two new friends. Beyond making good use of her free time, Emily finds volunteering so  fulfilling that she wants to continue helping those in the community in the future.
