Christmas Sparkle In The Quarter

Brightening up the darker nights and adding some sparkle, November will see the return of the Quarter’s Christmas lights. With displays returning to Marylebone Road, Baker Street, Portman Square and Manchester Square, the lighting installations reflect stories and events from the area’s history, from Lady Montagu’s blue stocking parties, the famous Baker Street Bazaar, Marylebone Pleasure Gardens and the Sherlock Holmes’ tale ‘The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle’. The switch on will take place on Friday 12 November.

Bookings for our in-person walking tour of the displays proved very popular and is now sold out, however, a self-guided tour, for those interested in finding out more about the stories behind the lights, will be available to download from our website.
