Charity Clothes Drive
20 February 2023
Our next Smarter Giving clothes drive is taking place from 6 March to 10 March and we are looking for businesses interested in hosting one of our collection bins for their employees to make donations.
The drive is taking place in support of four local charities this year, each looking for specific items to suit the needs of their service users. Businesses can choose to donate either to one charity on the list or multiple. Just a reminder that businesses will be responsible for delivering donated items to their chosen charity by the end of the collection week.
The Marylebone Project – supporting homeless and vulnerable women
Items needed: Women’s warm jackets, shoes, trainers, toiletries and comfortable wear like jeans, tracksuit bottoms and long-sleeved tops.
West London Mission (WLM) – supporting homeless men and men who have come out of prison
Items needed: Menswear – interview appropriate clothes, as well as casual clothing, footwear (work boots for construction sites and smart shoes), and coats.
Smart Works – supporting women into employment
Items needed: interview-appropriate womenswear, flat smart shoes and handbags.
St John’s Hospice – holistic care for people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families
Items needed: women’s, men’s clothing, accessories, jewellery, bags etc.
If your business is interested in taking part, we will provide you with marketing collateral, as well as collection bins to make the drive as easy as possible. Contact Hannah Kogan for more information – [email protected]
For individuals at organisations that are unable to take a collection bin but are interested in donating, contact Hannah who will put you in touch with the contact at the charity that you wish to donate to and to arrange delivery of the items.
