Baker Street Two Way Project Construction Work Now Complete!

We are pleased to confirm that the Baker Street Two Way Project construction work is now complete! We and the Baker Street Two project team thank you for your patience during the unavoidable disruption caused by the works which were substantively complete back in June. As a small amount of snagging work is finalised, the focus is now on the post-implementation monitoring strategy. You may have noticed the air quality monitoring tubes and traffic survey cameras around the area. The results will be analysed against data taken before the project started and since the switch to two-way operation.

We are very pleased with the positive feedback on the changes (including from some who were not at all sure about the plans) including less dominant traffic, wider pavements, more and improved crossing, better cycling facilities, new greening and more direct bus routes.
