Al Fresco Dining Comes To The Quarter
21 July 2020
We have been working with our partners The Portman Estate and Westminster City Council to transform New Quebec Street and Seymour Place into new al fresco dining spaces from Wednesday 22 July. These roads have been temporarily closed to support local restaurants as they reopen and to enable them to safely accommodate their customers. These beautiful and quiet streets tucked just behind Oxford Street offer an enjoyable and tranquil dining experience in the Quarter. You can support local businesses whilst enjoying a summer meal outdoors at The Grazing Goat, Gail’s Bakery, Daisy Green, Philglas and Swiggot, Vinoteca, Zayna, La Petite Poissonnerie, La Masseria Deli, The Carpenters Arms and Lurra among others.
These additional spaces will be open between 11am and 10pm, Wednesday to Saturday and 11.00 to 17.00 on Sunday until the end of August 2020.
Alongside the opening up of these streets we have been working with Michelin-starred restaurant Locanda Locatelli to help them secure their beautiful new space for chairs and tables on Seymour Place. We are also working with other food and drink businesses on their chairs and tables allocation on Baker Street, George Street and throughout the Quarter. If you are a restaurant, café or pub in the area and would like to know more please email us on [email protected]
Many of the Quarter’s food and drink businesses have an all year round outdoor dining space including Churchill Bar and Terrace, A.O.K and Kitchen at Holmes.
Find out more about the Quarter’s restaurants and cafes by visiting our Shop the Quarter directory where you can find out where you can dine outside. Do check the restaurant’s website for updated opening hours and please book ahead. You can also support these businesses if you are working from home by buying vouchers for when you return to the Quarter.
