Disability Awareness Training – Becoming a more inclusive employer

November 21, 2023 @ 10:00 - 12:00

Do you want to be a more inclusive employer? Do you want to find out about the legal requirements on employers, the support available, and best practice in recruiting people with disabilities?

If so, join us for this FREE employer workshop on disability inclusion. Aimed at employers in central London and across the capital, the session will help you to better understand disability employment, and to become a more inclusive employer. The training will take place online on Tuesday 21st November, 10:00 – 12:00.

Disabled people have a huge amount of skills and experience to offer, and research shows that inclusive employment practices can have real benefits for employers. However, just over half of disabled Londoners are in employment, compared to four in five non-disabled Londoners.

The session will cover:

• The benefits of being a more inclusive employer

• The legal obligations on employers

• Practical changes you can make to become a more inclusive employer

• The support available to you and to disabled employees

The event is organised by Central London Forward, and delivered by Business Disability Forum, the leading business membership organisation focused on disability inclusion. The event is free to employers, and funded by the Mayor of London as part of the No Wrong Door initiative. Book your spot here.
