Have Your Say On New 20mph Speed Limit

Westminster City Council has launched a consultation on a borough-wide 20mph speed limit and wants to hear from businesses and residents throughout the city.

The council’s proposal for a 20mph limit is part of a drive to create a safer, healthier and cleaner environment for all those who live, work, visit the area, and is one which supports our own Better Air Quality objectives, aiming to reduce harmful emissions within the Quarter and improve the air that we breathe.

The 20mph speed limits will be complemented by work to improve the environment for pedestrians and communities, which also includes improving air quality around schools, creating a network of Active Streets, enhancing green space and much more.
