Selfridges In The Community

The team at Selfridges have been busy over the last few months taking part in various activities to support local charities and the community as part of our Smarter Giving programme.

Earlier in the summer, the team hosted a Coronation Tea Party for residents and users of Penfold Community Hub who enjoyed an afternoon of singing, cake and tea, as well as hand massages and gift bags. They then returned to Penfold in August with a team of volunteers to undertake some weeding and planting of new flowers in the community garden whilst providing tea and cake to the elderly community.

Staff at Selfridges have also been taking turns in regular volunteering at St Mary’s Social Supermarket on a Wednesday morning, helping set out food and essentials and handing items out to those using the supermarket.

Last month, volunteers joined other teams from Cromwell Property Group, Invesco, Colliers and Knight Frank, to give women’s homeless charity and sanctuary The Marylebone Project a repaint and makeover.

If your business would like to join Selfridges in participating or donating time to local charities and community groups, take a look at our Smarter Giving page for inspiration or get in touch with our Community Impact Manager, Hannah.
