Motor Village Gets Our Charity Of The Year On The Road

We are proud to name North Paddington Food Bank as Charity of the Year. Having worked with them throughout this year, with many collaborations with our businesses, we know how many desperate households, isolated individuals and vulnerable families rely on this vital lifeline. Their hardworking volunteers organise and distribute donated food and supplies to those who really need them.

It has been particularly challenging over the last few months. The charity supported more than 10,000 people between 20 April and 20 July, making more than 5,500 deliveries. Now the need for the food bank’s services is even more important as we head into winter.

Our members, Motor Village stepped up and used one of their Jeep Renegade Hybrid’s to make deliveries. They made a short film about their experiences and the food bank here.

Motor Village is just one of many local businesses to help this charity including financial donations from Streathers Solicitors and Knight Frank, Baldwin Electrical and Masterfix made deliveries during lockdown and Signature Aviation raised nearly £2,000 with staff virtually walking to Orlando. Last month finance experts AgFe and pensions, investment and insurance consultancy Lane Clark & Peacock donated food.

North Paddington Food Bank are one of the charities we are supporting through our Christmas Giving Appeal. Find out more about how you can give to local charities and nurseries here.

There are other charity initiatives to support and you can get involved whether you are in the workplace or working from home. Find out more here.
