SUMMARY:Fire Marshal Training
DESCRIPTION:This half day (3 hours) Fire marshal training courses is delivered by a professional firefighter. You will learn basic fire safety procedures in the workplace and how to ensure your organisation is compliant with the law. It is a legal requirement to ensure you have an adequate number of staff trained to handle the safe and successful evacuation in the case of a fire emergency. \nThis course will be delivered online. \nFire Marshal Training is exclusive to employees of Baker Street Quarter Partnership member businesses. To check if your business is a member and book onto the training\, email training@bakerstreetq.co.uk \n  \nTerms and Conditions\nWhilst we are happy to offer all courses free of charge\, the course provider does charge us for each place. If you wish to cancel your place\, you must provide at least one week’s notice prior to the course date so we can offer your place to someone else. Failure to attend or cancel within one week will result in your business being liable for the cost of the course of your place.

SUMMARY:Safety Workshop With Marylebone Ward Police
DESCRIPTION:We are inviting you to join our in-person ‘Lunch and Learn’ event on Thursday 21 March 12:30 – 14:00 at 64 Baker Street\, where Marylebone Ward Policing Team will be joining us for a Safety Workshop. \nThe talk will last around 30 minutes followed by a Q&A\, and the Police Team will stay afterwards to discuss any concerns you have about the area. \nThe StreetSafe Campaign\, Ask For Angela\, VAWG (Violence Against Women & Girls) and safety on the streets are some of the topics that will be covered. Personal safety in both professional and private lives\, using public transport\, travelling to and from home\, lone working\, work visits and the use of technology to assist with safety will also be looked at. \nThere will also be an opportunity to meet our Street Team. The Team monitors the area seven days a week and is dedicated to making sure it feels safe and is maintained to a high standard for those that live here\, work locally or are visiting. The Team works closely with local businesses and have direct links to the Police\, Council and outreach services. Find out more here. \nA light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
