SUMMARY:Drop-in and meet the Baker Street Quarter team
DESCRIPTION:Everyone is warmly invited to a drop-in session to meet members of the Baker Street Quarter Partnership team. This is an informal session aimed at providing the opportunity for people to come along and ask any questions they might have about our services and projects\, to find out more and to get to know the team.    \nThe meet the team sessions are taking place on Wednesday 18 September 12.30-2pm and 5-6.30pm at the Baker Street Hub\, 64 Baker Street.  \nThe session is for anyone working or living locally.  The BakerStreetQ team attending will include our senior management team\, operations\, security and street team\, community programme manager\, placemaking\, sustainability\, events and communications.  \nLight refreshments will be provided so if you could email events@bakerstreetq.co.uk to let us know you are coming that would be helpful. There will also be an opportunity to win lunch at one of our Bites Street Food stalls for you and your team/family.  \nWe hope to see you on the 18th!

DESCRIPTION:To coincide with the International Week of the Deaf 2024\, we have partnered with Deaf Unity to organise a Deaf Awareness and Basic British Sign Language workshop. This session will include: \nThe 1-hour session covers: \n\nAn introduction to the trainer and Deaf Unity.\nStatistics on deafness and hearing loss worldwide and in the UK.\nExplanation of different levels of hearing loss and the correct terminology.\nDiscussion of communication barriers and potential solutions.\nIntroduction to BSL (British Sign Language) and fingerspelling.\n\nIf you would like to know more about Deaf Unity\, please click here. \nThe Deaf Awareness & BSL training is exclusive to employees of Baker Street Quarter Partnership member businesses.
